Oh it's so dark! Almost as dark as Max Seed's soul. With all the dark scenes in which you cannot see anything but the darkness... it's a clear tribute to Andrzej Wajda's classic: "Kanal". Also dark as hell. And it's non-linear narration is just like Tarantino's flicks. And there is even a get-out-of-grave scene stolen from Kill Bill! And it's got an island, just like in the latest Scorsese. Wait, actually, Seed was released before it. Martin, how could you do this to me??
